　　2001年英语写作又经历了一次重大变革——要求字数从150字以上提高到200字左右，也就是说，写在180字以下的文章要扣分。同时写作这部分所占的分数也由15分提高到20分，充分体出了对写作这一部分的重视。写作是一种产出性的技能，最能直接体现考生综合运作语方的能力，再怎么强调也不为过啊。

　　这次的漫画可谓历年考试中最为简明的，但却意义深远:油灯上面的火焰象是个孩子的微笑，在黑暗中发出明亮的光芒，上面有一句话:“爱心是一盏灯，在越黑暗的地方越明亮”——这句话很关键，前面是个暗喻，后面是个越…越…的结构。提纲分为三点，一是写出对漫画象征意义的理解，二是举出一个具体的事例，三是就献爱心的最好办法给出建议。我们应紧扣提纲，可分三段来写。在第一段中，不仅应包含漫画的描述，还应描述旁边的一句话。在第二段中，应举一个能与漫画所表达的深刻的道理相匹配的典型事例。

But he was never discouraged by the harsh conditions. He called on people to plant trees, open ditches and build reservoirs, thus greatly improving the living conditions there. Even today’s people are benefiting from these projects. Who can deny that resulted from the sincere love of a most courageous person?

　　The best way to show love, I think, is to devote ourselves to our work and our nation. No matter where we work, what we do and how harsh the environment is, we must try our best to shoulder the responsibility of the job so as to help others live better and make contribution to our nation’s development.
